This weekend I completed my first 100 miles in my new Hood Jeans. Wow! I stayed cool when the temperature reached 88F and the jeans were super comfortable. They fit perfectly as well. I’m hoping I never have to test the design limits of these great motorcycling jeans. Customer service was first rate; I was surprised at how quickly I received my delivery after placing the order. Owners of Hood Jeans, husband and wife team Chris and Julie Easterford, are the proud recipients of the first UKCA marked certificates awarded by SATRA Technology.
The ‘United Kingdom Conformity Assessed’ (UKCA) mark is the new conformity assessment mark for the UK and will need to be placed on products as a means of showing conformance with applicable UK legislation, by a UK Government Approved Body (such as SATRA).
The legislation came into force on 1st, January 2021 and manufacturers and suppliers of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) have a year to transition to this new certification system after which time the CE mark will no longer be recognised by the GB market.
